Weddings, birthdays, engagement parties and corporate events across Perth. Make a free private booking account, browse local DJs or have one recommended to you, and get quotes written for your night. Free quotes, free to cancel with two weeks' notice, and nothing charged until you accept.
Make a private booking account, then browse the DJs on the roster and the dates each one is free. Send the details of the night to any DJ you like and they write you a quote for exactly that. Not sure who to pick? Tell Yannai about the night and he recommends one; you book them through the same account.
A DJ who plays your night, with their own speakers and equipment, and everything after "yes" is handled.
Open Dawn is a Perth live entertainment agency run by a working musician, and it books DJs the same way it books bands. Every DJ available for private bookings brings their own speakers and equipment, so a backyard, a marquee, a function room or an office works as well as a venue with a system. They are briefed on the night before it happens: the songs you want, the ones you do not, the moments that matter and the time it has to finish.
Yannai, who runs Open Dawn, has played more than 500 gigs himself and has booked live music for rooms from Lake Karrinyup Country Club to Ascot Racing. That is the standard your night is booked against.
Different nights need different DJs. Each page below says what that night needs and how to book it.
The entrance, the first dance, the speeches on cue and the dance floor, for the reception or alongside live musicians for the whole day.
Wedding DJs →Gala dinners, awards nights, EOFY and Christmas parties, product launches and client functions, played to a run sheet.
Corporate DJs →Birthdays, engagements, anniversaries and backyard parties, with the volume and the finish agreed before the night.
Party entertainment →A name, an email and a password, and it opens the moment you confirm your email. No vetting, nothing to pay, nothing to keep track of in an inbox.
Browse local DJs and send the details of the night to the ones you like. Or tell Yannai about the night and have a DJ recommended to you.
Each DJ writes a quote for exactly your night. Accept the one you want and the date is locked in. Nothing is charged until you accept, and cancelling with two weeks' notice is free.
Every night is quoted for the night itself. The DJ reads your brief, the date, the venue, the hours and what the night is for, and writes a price for exactly that. The quote you see is the total, so the number you accept is the number you pay. Asking is free, and you can ask more than one DJ.
Yes. Every DJ available for private bookings on Open Dawn brings their own speakers and equipment, so a backyard, a marquee, a function room or an office works as well as a venue with a system. If the room already has a sound system, say so in the request and the DJ plans around it.
Yes. The request has room for the songs you want, the ones you would rather not hear and the moments that matter, and the DJ builds the night around it. Tell them whether guest requests are welcome or the list stays tight.
The private booking account is free to open and free to keep, and cancelling with 14 days of notice is free. Cancel 14 days or more before the event and nothing is charged; if the payment has already been collected it comes back in full. Between 7 and 14 days out, half the DJ's quoted fee is paid to them and the rest is refunded. Inside 7 days the DJ is paid in full and the booking fee is charged.
Yes. A duo for the ceremony or the dinner and a DJ for the dancing is a common shape, and both are booked through the same account, each with their own quote.
