You pick a name you have never heard play, chase them for a yes, chase them again for an invoice, and find out on the night whether they read the room. Open Dawn is built the other way around. Tell us about the venue once, and after that the only decision left with you is whether a night goes ahead.
Yannai, who runs Open Dawn, has played more than 500 gigs himself and has booked live music for rooms from The Landing in Alkimos to Lake Karrinyup Country Club. That is the ear the act is matched with.

Book two or more nights in the same week and every set that week is $350 plus GST, so two nights is $700 and three is $1,050. Over a year that is $1,040 back on two nights a week and $1,560 on three. The performer brings their own instruments and PA, and nothing else is bundled in or quietened down: filming, photography, lighting and projection are quoted separately when you want them.
You never pay a performer directly and you never see a musician's invoice. Open Dawn pays every performer and their super, so that side of it is ours. There is no lock-in, no notice period and no exit fee, nothing renews on its own, and a night that did not happen is never invoiced. Booking a single set is a complete transaction, which means trying us costs one night.

As much notice as you can give us helps, particularly for a Friday or a Saturday. That said, we fill nights at shorter notice regularly, so it is worth asking about a date even when it is close. Ask and you will know quickly whether it can be covered.
Yes. Weddings, corporate functions, private parties and Christmas parties are all quoted for the event itself rather than at the venue set rate, because a ceremony, a canape hour and a full evening are different jobs. Tell us the date, the place and what you want it to sound like.
