Open Dawn books musicians and DJs into Perth venues. We take our booking fee from the venue, never a cut of what you are paid, and super goes into your own fund on every night. Work is offered gig by gig, and every offer is yours to turn down.
The venue sets a budget for the night. Our booking fee comes out of it and the rest is yours, with super paid on top into your own fund. You never send an invoice either: we write the payment statement and pay you the Friday after the week you played.
Whether a night is filmed depends on what the venue has booked, so we will not promise it on every set. When yours is filmed, the footage is professional, it is yours to use, and good clips have a way of leading to the next booking.
Set times, gear questions, parking, payment: one person to talk to, sorted before you load in. You turn up and play.
We keep the roster tight, and nothing about it is exclusive. Nights are offered one at a time, they rotate on purpose, and turning one down costs you nothing. If you are working out where you fit, we keep a guide to live music in Perth and how the rooms differ.
Live footage beats studio recordings. Show us what a room full of people gets.
What you play, when you're available, what you need on stage. Ten minutes, no audition room.
A real gig at a real venue, paid. That night tells both of us if this works.
Play well and be easy to work with and more nights reach you. Venues rate the night afterwards, the better rated hear about the better budgets first, and a venue can ask for you by name.
Make an account and send a link to you playing somewhere real. We watch every one ourselves, and if it fits what our venues need you'll hear from us.
